Adventures in a fictional world must begin somewhere and that somewhere is most assuredly in the real world – Not merely a vision in the mind of the author. Rather, fiction is a vision of the world itself – The state of things reflected through characters’ perspectives. A world built in part or in whole from the creative mind, reflecting a reality that can only exist within the pages of a book – The truth filtered through the writer's eyes, manipulated by thoughts, ideas, and experiences – Predigested and regurgitated into fanciful words and images, a form easily digested by the reader.
